Faheem Sardar is currently a Senior Policy Specialist with the Government of Pakistan, focusing on economics, among other aspects. Prior to this he was the Managing Director of TANGENT which is an economics think tank & corporate advisory. Previously he was the Chief Executive Officer of Askari Securities Ltd in Pakistan, for 9 years, which is a leading brokerage and investment house in Pakistan. He was responsible for its restructuring and new dynamic. He has extensive experience in policy, planning, envisioning, implementation, change, restructuring, stabilizing, growth, asymmetry and in dealing with problems. He has indepth experience in the capital market and has also served in the capacity of a regulator.
He is on the faculty of the Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance as a trainer, and is involved in Director’s training in Corporate Governance & Leadership Skills. He has attended the National Security Workshop of the National Defense University. He speaks on electronic media regarding finance, economics, markets, related aspects and also societal dynamics.
He has authored books and articles, with others in progress. His released books are titled ‘Mind Conquest‘ (which is about managing and succeeding in life, especially work), ‘CEO at 34‘ (which is about managing and succeeding in life, especially work) and ‘The New Finance Construct‘ (which is about the genetic problems in economics, finance and banking, and a much needed new construct). His books are part of the National Library Collection of Pakistan. One of his main motives in writing revolves around the fact that there are limited local experiences and journeys penned, despite their presence and immense requirement.
He has taught finance & investments at the graduate and undergraduate level. He is involved in philanthropic work and is also a mentor to individuals.
